My seven year old daughter and I loved this book. It had humor, valor, and a good moral throughout.There is a theme throughout about not being mislead by appearances. At this point in my childs education I am endeavoring to build a good moral foundation so I appreciate a good story that reinforces values!

Water for Elephants is the best novel I have read in a long time. Sara Gruen is a great story teller. I could'nt put the book down.

I, too am somewhat disappointed. I would have like more involvement from the usual cast of characters and found this book to be somewhat disjointed. I also felt the ending to be poorly done -- just quickly wrapped up and never really solved. Was the publisher breathing down Faye's neck? However, it was still far and above most of the rest of the genre out there and I will still buy both Faye's and Jonathan's books as soon as they are published.


Give your fans more of what they have come to expect next time, well thought out plots, plausible endings and more of the family -- we all love the Decker family.

"The Snow Bride" is the full-length version of the short story by the same name which first appeared in _On A Snowy Night_. The premise is worth exploring, a young, beautiful executive assistant leaves the comfort of her Los Angeles home and heads to Alaska to meet the man she has been corresponding with over the Internet for the past several months. She learns, through a series of coincidences, that he is not the person he appeared to be and unexpectedly falls in love with a brash, rugged pilot. All in all, the characters are sweet and delightful, (the male lead is very funny!) but their tale makes a better short story than novel.

I have read a few of Nora Roberts' trilogies and they have kept my interest. However, when I picked up The Hollow I had no idea that it was even part of a trilogy. (Guess I should have known better.)I started this book three times and put it down while I read something else. I simply got tired of looking at the darn thing so forced myself to read it.

The premise of something evil returning to a small town every seven years should mean the reader is held from page one to the very end. But this reader found trouble right on page one. There was nothing to draw me in nor anything to keep me around.

I could not find one redeemable quality or characteristic in this book. Flimsy storyline. Horrible editing (using the same adjectives and awkward descriptions repeatedly). Characterization--horrible. Chemistry between characters-none. Boring and drawn out. I struggled to get midway thru the story and then gave up. Not worth finishing. Clumsy sentence structure throughout. Don't waste your money and time with "Everlasting." Grade F.
