This author describes how to get things done in the course of real-life business flows - with interruptions ! Many things it describes, people will already have pieces in place. I recommend reading through the book completely. Purchase what you need to set up your underlying "organizing" foundation. Then, take a nice long holiday weekend and commit to cleaning out and setting up and referring back to pertinent sections of the book. So far... I am able to keep up with things. Easy to read. Easy to follow either all or some of what he suggests. For business and life !

I found this an excellent book:chocked full of information for anyone from the novice to seasoned individual. A great book for the novice to learn and understand PMOs while at the same time is an excellent resource for the seasoned project manager.

I remember getting my hands on Harvard Graphics way back when and being so excited about how it would revolutionize presentations. But basically, though the software has improved since then, we use it the same way. Reynolds shows it doesn't have to be that way; you don't have to shoot your audience full of bullet points. I think you could probably get the gist of his message by reading his excellent blog - the book could have gone further beyond that, I think. In any case, if you suffer from presentation fatigue in your workplace, show this to your boss and your team members. For sure buy the book if your boss won't be impressed that you found a cool business tip on a blog.

I struggled with this book. It has some great ideas, but it reminds me of the last hour of the film version of The Return of the King or the entire King Kong by Peter Jackson. Where's the editor?

The good and the bad:
1. He gives concrete examples of how to use visual thinking and gives you tools to figure out what to do.
2.It's a 300 pages book talking about visual thinking. Okay. I read it on the Kindle, so I don't know really how big the pictures are. But the point remains - it is overly long. A full third of the book is taken up by a case study on selling B2B software.
3. Which, by the way, made no sense whatsoever. He starts by saying, "Let's map our customers." And then proceeds to put them all in a single ... Read More:
