This is a must have for anyone who is familiar with photography and wants to move up to the next level. Scott has a great way of explaining things in a straight forward matter and making you understand the more technical side of this sometimes confusing field.

I think I have bought this book 5 times for friends who are getting into the field and would recommend it to anyone.

It's so simple and makes you understand what you need to do to know your camera

I bought this book after reading the first addition. This is the kind of book that I read cover-to-cover, and then a few months later, pick it back up and read again! Things seems to make so much more sense to me that second time around - after having some experience with what he covers! This is also one of those reference books to keep so that if you have a question about something, you can find it in this book. I don't like books that I read once and then it sits on a shelf. I like books that can help me again and again!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone getting into or just starting photography!

Garr Reynolds is now an icon for all the presenters (who seriously care about their presentations). Several of the things he talked about is applicable in presentations created for informational purposes. This can be marketing and advertisement, personal branding, book review or anything. However, when it comes to technical presentations, it becomes a different story.

Though this book does not talk about techniques in this area, I believe these can be evolved from the principles presented in the presentation zen. I am curious if Reynolds has started researching about technical presentations and how persentation zen can be extended to address the boredom and save the world.

If you're new to OS/X development, a bit of search will quickly point to this book as the definitive resource for learning Cocoa programming. Having purchased it, I understand why. The book definitely meets all my expectations. It's not meant to be a reference (for that go the Apple's developer site), it takes you through most of the basic Cocoa features and techniques in a very well laid out manner. The 2nd edition was already renowned, so will be the 3rd.

I've read probably 10,000 plus pages about marketing on the net. From articles, blog posts, eBooks, white papers, news releases and throw in a ton of video and audio.

I consider this book the most comprehensive and insightful of the lot.

The book is very "production-oriented." What I mean by that is that every facet of marketing and PR that David Scott discusses is presented from the viewpoint of your presence on the net being PRODUCTIVE. Not pretty, not snazzy, not high tech...PRODUCTIVE.

If you're selling a product or service, he gives solid advice on how to increase revenues. If you're interested in recruiting volunteers for a cause, the advice fits to get ACTUAL RECRUITS. And so on for virtually any kind of activity on the net.

I used to be a PC user and have loved Elements since version 3 and Kelty's books on it's usage. I recently switched to a MAC for numerous reasons and purchased Elements 6 when it came out. I have purchased several books for MAC on its use but none where as good as the PC versions by Kelty. I wrote to his site only to be told that they did not have anything for the MAC and was disappointed. I happened to be in the mood to just try the book as I found that a lot of what was in his PC version 5 book I was able to relate to the MAC operations, so why not give his latest one a try.
