I give Dewey, The Small Town Library Cat Who Touched The World as many stars as in the sky! My favorite book of the year!

Here are 4 things about this book:

1) You will LOVE this book.
2) You will not want to put it down.
3) You will cry a lot!
4) You will never forget it!

That being said, this is a wonderful book. I plan to get this book to have and read it again and again!! This book will touch you like it did me. What a special cat Dewey was and wonderful person Vicki is. Thanks for telling the story, Vicki. I wish I could have met Dewey and pet him!! Treasure and enjoy this book!!

The book is like the website- some of it is funny, some of it is not. If you aren't impressed, at least you didn't spend a lot of money on this book.

I received Cesar Millan's third book, "A Member of the Family" today. I have both of Cesar's other books, and figured by the third book it probably wouldn't be so great. Boy, was I mistaken!

I turned randomly to the chapter written by Ilusion Wilson Millan, Cesar's beautiful wife. I was instantly hooked, and could not put this book down. I then turned to the chapter Cesar wrote about his beloved sidekick, Daddy, the greatest representative of Pit Bull known to man.

I know there are a lot of people whom I call "anti-Cesareans". These are people who dislike Cesar Millan because a) he doesn't have a degree and b) they (erroneously) believe he is cruel to dogs and c) they (erroneously) believe he is an illegal immigrant. ... Read More:

I started training from this book when my dog was 9 weeks old. The tricks are great mental stimulation for my puppy and takes his attention away from chewing on the couch (for a little while). The great thing about this book is that it helped me explore my puppy's personality. For example, I had trouble getting him to roll over. He'd go part of the way and stop. So instead, we practiced play dead. He got that immediately and it's so cute to say bang and watch him flop over on his back. This book gives a variety of skills to learn so if your dog is having trouble with one, do another trick and come back to that one. I know the author lists prerequisites for each trick, but those aren't set in stone. Spend some time with your dog and see what he can do. ... Read More:

I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to any animal lover. This a very, very good story of owning an pet and all the love, aggravation and heartbreak that usually comes with having one. The movie is coming out in December of 2008.

It manages to be entertaining, intelligently crafted, well researched, thought-provoking and emotionally engaging all at once. I purchased 6 additional copies for friends and favorite dog care professionals, as I couldn't wait to share this book.
