.Fodor's Citypack Montreal, 2nd Edition (Citypacks) City Travel Guides > Books > Citypack Series by: Fodor's September 12, 2000 This citypack is a good thing to carry for those who are spending a couple days in the city and who want to hit only the highlights. The one thing that we didn't like about the combination was the map. It was too large and too detailed when all we really wanted was the Old Port and things closer to the river. Instead it included a lot of the town and suburbs, too. .Fodor's Citypack Beijing's 25 Best, 4th Edition (25 Best) City Travel Guides > Books > Citypack Series by: Fodor's July 05, 2005 I was highly disappointed by this book. Several of the 'Best 25' were all actually buildings within the Forbidden City. The book should be more appropriately titled 'Beijing's 20 Best'. It also did not warn people that different tours to the Great Wall are differentiated by either the most visited section which is almost completely restored and crowded versus another section that is less traveled and for the more die-hard culturalists. The map was also too large to read easily while in a taxi or traveling on foot. The top 25 sites section was particularly useful in determining what to see during our stay. Each of the 25 sites noted in the guide included a train/bus number reference and that was most helpful. .Fodor's Citypack Brussels & Bruges, 2nd edition (Citypacks) City Travel Guides > Books > Citypack Series by: Fodor's January 07, 2003 My husband and I recently took a trip to Brussels, for the first time. We "thought" this book would be a great guide for us in a foreign country... but instead found ourselves getting lost. The map is huge, you'll need to find a coffee shop to actually sit and open the darn thing, and the sites aren't addressed clearly. A bit of advice, there are huge maps on the corners of most major streets that tell where you are and how to get to a site; use the undergrounds, much cheaper and easier to get around; and ask your hotel conceirge for directions, they know everything...oh, and make sure you brush up on your French, some village sandwich shops aren't as nice as your regular star bucks :) >>See More Reviews & Details on Fodor's Citypack Brussels & Bruges, 2nd edition (Citypacks) |

.Fodor's Citypack Naples' 25 Best, 1st Edition (Citypacks) City Travel Guides > Books > Citypack Series by: Fodor's April 05, 2005 We have a lot of books about Italian cities -- Naples, Florence, Rome. The Fodor's Citypacks don't have the broadest coverage or the most detail, but they give a good overview and the maps are good (but were better in the older editions, alas). If you are only buying one book about a city -- or only taking one with you -- the Citypacks are the best we have seen. .Fodor's Citypack Berlin, 3rd Edition (Citypacks) City Travel Guides > Books > Citypack Series by: Fodor's October 02, 2001 This pocket-size guide book is excellent to carry around exploring the city/Berlin. The great color photographs are inspiring. The walks, tours and excursions described are an excellent way to explore great parts of the city as well as find a nice restaurant or place to have a drink, some could even be call insider information.
