My sister-in-law gave me this book to read when I was pregnant. It is very funny! Its the "everything you need to know about pregnancy that no one will tell you" book. Just what someone with fatigue, gas, swollen ankles and a squished bladder needs! Relax, put your feet up and enjoy this great, light-hearted book.

This is also very true, yet very funny. I loved reading this. So much of this book is right on the dot during pregnancy. It is so neat to read that someone else went thru what we go thru during pregnancy. The only difference is most people won't talk about it, yet she does and puts a funny spin on things!

The author is VERY funny and right on target when taking apart LAUSD and the LA scene which is extremely plastic and power focussed. Sandra not only thinks she has to solve her family's problems but lies awake at night trying to solve the whole world's problems while her husband, who grew up in So. Dakota peacefully sleeps. That is the angst one can have after growing up in Malibu and then living in Van Nuys. It is a laugh out loud book that needs to be savored in small doses because Sandra has so much to say that is thought provoking, especially about her generation's overly involved "parenting." This book is hysterical! Probably one of his best works if not the best.If you like Sedaris at all then you must read this (even though it's not his latest). It's even funny a second time around, the semi biographical short stories don't get dated.

We're expecting a baby in less than a month. The pregnancy has been normal and uneventful, but it's a difficult time for a couple and a little levity is in order. Another couple suggested we read the book "Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth" by Jenny McCarthy. It was a quick and easy read and provided a lot of insightful laughs. I reviewed the book and gave it five stars. Almost immediately, a second book appeared on my suggestion list: "Baby Laughs: The Naked Truth About the First Year of Mommyhood" , also by Jenny McCarthy. I couldn't resist.

My husband hated this book. He said the author made it sound like everything was a big joke. He stopped reading it about half way through. What a disappointment.

Out of all of the books that I purchased about twins, this is my favorite. It was really nice to read a book that did not try to sugar coat how difficult it is to raise twins, but at the same time let me know that i'm not alone either. This book gave you great tips and humor, too! I was pregnant with twins with my first (and only) pregnancy, So really had no idea what I was doing. This book let me know that it is hard, but you'll be able to get through it.

I loved this book. It had so many true parts in it, yet had such a funny way of talking about them. If you need a good laugh you have to read this book. She has such a way with writing. I just love her books.
