I am a homeschooling mom with 5 kiddos. I got these workbooks for my 9 and 7 year olds. There are great! they introduce basic map and geography skills. The lessons are short and not overwhelming. My 9year old worked totally independantly and my 7yo did most on her own too. the pages are colorful and fun! Great fro the price! I am actually on here to order the intermediate books :)

I purchased these student atlases for my 3rd grade class. They
refer to themselves as "Mapheads", because they are enthralled
with geography, and I thought it would be the perfect gift. The books
were handed out during the party, and immediately following the
ripping of paper, and the "Oohs and Ahhs" there was absolute silence as
they dove into the books. After about 5 minutes of hearing only the
sound of turning pages, I began to hear, "Look on page ___, all the
flags of the world are there", and "Look what the earth looked like
before it separated into continents!" It is January, and they are still
willing to give up recess to scour these atlases.

This was perfect for me. I live in a dorm, and I was able to hang this up on my white walls, and it looked great. The paper is kind of thin, but for the price, it is well worth it. I love the maps detail, and I really like the world map with the flags of various countries on the bottom.

If you are planning a self driving trip to Ireland then this is the map-book you need. Love it! Every couple of years we pick up the latest installment from Ordnance Survey Ireland, OSI, for our self driving tour of the country and use the bejeebus out of it. (Though we usually buy it in Ireland at Eason's or another book store once we arrive there.)

This spiral bound book has all the main M and N roads as well as most if not all of those tiny unnumbered back roads that criss cross Ireland and get you lost in no time at all. Oh, we still get lost, that's part of the charm of driving in Ireland, but I'm much better at getting us back on track when needs be. The pages are clearly marked and easy to read.
