This book was my first Kindle purchase, because I was looking for some info on how to use the device. Little did I know how this seemingly helpful chap would misuse my e-mail address to promote his political ideology!

The book is "OK" -- it covers the basics, and gets you to the point where you can use the fundamental features, but it does not go too much further. On the book's content alone, I would maybe give it 2-1/2 stars.

I then went on to follow his suggestion of adding my e-mail address to his list. He claimed that he would be sending alerts when his Kindle book was updated.

Rita does a great job with this book. But it is apparent she is not a teacher. Her many arrogant statements will have you putting the book down for a while, so you can cool off and then get back to trying to learn the material.

Her exam samples are great, but her explanations leave you wondering where the logic came from.

Buy this but also get Head First PMP: A Brain-Friendly Guide to Passing the Project Management Professional Exam (Head First). Head First is a much better teaching guide an facilitates the learning process much better.

Great book that appears simple but really is a great foundation of web principles that you can always go back and refer to. It's a pretty quick read and is actually fun to go through if you're in this line of work.

David Pogue is so good at what he does he could get hired by Apple or Google immediately and instantly improve their technical documentation department ten-fold. The Missing Manual line of books is so good that it's like candy for the tech reader that wants to learn more about nearly any technology on the market.

With 'iPhone: The Missing Manual: Covers the iPhone 3G' Pogue has done it once again, improving on the previous edition of iPhone TMM by covering the new 3G line of phones. People like Pogue blow me away, they are people that seem to be able to get 25+ hours out of every day that most people only use/get 1440 minutes. After finishing "Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire" by Amanda Foreman, I have come to the conclusion that the flaming youth of the 1770's and 80's were just about as wild a bunch that could be. It seems that the generation of aristocrats who came of age in the decade and a half immediately before the French Revolution liked to live life at the edge. Fashions were extreme, homes were elaborate, and fortunes were gambled blithely away. Traditional morals and religious practice were given a public nod while being privately cast aside. This is great, consise guide to the photographer's photoshop needs. Doesn't include photoshop basics like layers, etc, but does show photos for each step making this great for all levels! And I don't know why people whine about Kelby's style, I'd rather have some humor in my technical guides than manual-speak with no personality.
