We used this excellent guide on three trips to Santa Fe in the past two years, and on side trips to Taos and Albuquerque. The information and illustrations are up to Eyewitness's usual high standards, and the small size makes for excellent portability. Maps are pretty small, but excellent maps are freely available in all three cities and in the major sites.

This book is easy to read, concise and to the point. Seems to contain all of the sites a first time visitor would want to see. I purchased two other books on Hawaii but this will be our main guide. The others will serve if we want more details about the sites. I know others who have used this book in Hawaii and they highly recommend it.

Some of the pages are blurred, making it difficult, if not impossible to read. This is really a problem in the phrase book portion of the book. I went to the DK website to see if they could send me the blurred pages and they don't recongize that the guide exists.

We bought this book for a recent trip to Lisbon. We found it to be out of date. Descriptions were not always accurate, addresses were wrong, opening hours were often not correct. If it were updated, it would be a useful guide.

Nice little guide for a short trip, well organized, but the "10" theme got a little forced at times. The Map is good, although a bit tiny. The hotels and seasonal info is a bit dated as well, but all in all for a relaxed short trip of four days or so, this is a great value guide as it hits the highlights and doesn't bog you down with detail. If you are staying longer and want more detail, then other guides are your better choice.

The pictures are excellent.

My teen-aged son is fascinated by all things Russian. I wanted to get him a book that wasn't too little kiddie but also one that wasn't a slog to read through. This book is a children's book but it has lots of pictures and enough information to keep a teen or adult interested. My son has several books in the Eyewitness series and they're consistently good books. Eyewitness Russia is no exception.

Every time I go to Europe, I spend a great deal of time researching the sights I want to see, so a book like this is redundant for me. However I gave it to my son who was traveling with friends abroad, and they loved it. They thought they hit the high points of the city and went out of their way to thank me for it.
