The book was a good basic text, however, it was not user friendly, difficult to follow. The CD Rom that accompanied the book was basically a waste.

Very clinical, yet not as difficult to read as it may have been. I particularly like the case studies because they provide a practical application of the material, so most concepts are not left abstract. Overall, it provides the best case scenario for this type of text.

Sometimes reading through a review book seems like a great way to see what you picked up, but it is too easy to just say, Oh yeah, I knew that, and move on. The images in this book are great, the questions truly assess learning, and the answers continue to enlighten. If you get nothing else in terms of pathology books, get this guy, it is well worth the money.

PS I prefer new so that way the questions are not already answered. That is the worst when they are already marked up and it is no longer a learning experience.

This has been an extremely helpful resource for framing and developing a good research paper. It takes the reader step-by-step through the process of finding a topic of interest, narrowing that topic into a question, making that question relevant to a wider audience, then moving to researching that question, developing arguments, and putting those arguments into a coherent structure. The authors have set up the book so that it can either be read through cover to cover or used as a reference guide for particular sections. For students beginning their first research papers, this is an exceptionally helpful book to make a daunting task much more manageable. Highly recommended.

This book is written with concrete examples of a very obvious cognitive case. In practice things are much more difficult or less approachable in cognitive terms. Still good to start getting a good idea about CBT.

I plan to use it when I study for the Pharmacy Board exam upon graduation. The key thing to remember is that it contains BASIC knowledge about how drugs are manufactured.

Warning: The professor and the student must be careful to supplement this book with additional reading material if the physics and chemistry behind drug production are covered in-depth during the pharmaceutics class.
