Compulsion does follow along the same lines as all the Alex Delaware novels but, that's why we enjoy reading them right? I thought the book had a great flow that really kept me reading into the wee hours of the night. I think it had a good twist at the end, and really enjoy Milo's character, I think he gets better in every book.

Vince Flynn delivers a powerful thrill ride once again. Great insight on Middle East politics, espionage, and terrorism. Mitch Rapp is at it again and he's badder than ever. I usually rip through a book in record time; however, Protect And Defend was worthy of a well paced read. I had to soak in every word.

One beef with the book: the ending was abrupt. It was as if Flynn was tired of writing and just wanted to wrap things up so he could move on to other things. This story called for a little more attention to the final chapters. Still, Protect And Defend is a must read.

I have yet to read a Jodi Picoult novel that I outright dislike. She always tells her story well and makes me anxious to keep reading. That said, I definately saw a few too many shades of Stephen Kings "The Green Mile" and Picoults own "Keeping Faith". I did enjoy the info/history lesson about the Gnostics and am actually interested now in reading more. However, I have not read much about Picoult personally and am now curious about her own religious beliefs. I felt like they were pushing through in this one.

This book changed my life.

Like a fish swimming in the ocean who takes water for granted, we can't help but take our own culture for granted. It has become invisible to us, because we live in it. This book will make it so you can see it again. Once you start to see it, you won't be able to make it become invisible again.

If you've ever wondered how things got this bad, you should read this book. Prepare for a paradigm shift.

John Sandford is still holding his space as best selling author and it shows in his work. Phantom Prey is another Lucas Davenport crime novel. Lucas as always is strong, tough and confused by the madness of the killer or killers. This one takes you through a maze of characters who are or are not what they seem. It is as always a page turner and yes, you will be shocked. Kudo's John Sandford you have fed your readers hunger with this one. Tapping my fingers for the next one.
