As of yet, all I have done is the first two chapters of the book and already I feel better about myself. It feels as if the book seeks to combine common sense with explaining what could be causing your self-esteem issues, and together, that helps you get a little more control over your issue.

This is one of just a couple of parenting books that I keep coming back to because its advice not only resonates with my parenting instincts, but offers solutions that work for my family. Playing in the way described in this book, and other ways, helps me stay connected with my child. Being connected makes life together more joyful and easier.

I listened to this books on audio cd. The readers little girl whispery voice was intensely annoying. I did finish it and I would never presume to critize her choices and acts. What I find difficult to understand (spoiler ahead) are her choices outside the "church". She speaks of her mother and father as victims of a "religion" and of their inability to help or protect her as "because of their religous beliefs". The religious belief that one man and one man only talks to God and runs their life. Isn't this a cult? Doesn't she see it as a cult now that she's on the ouside. As a mother, she should have a clearer picture of what her parents did not do. Her constant use of the "love" of her mother is self-deluding. But I cannot question her big heart ... Read More:

I have a bunch of recipe books for baby/toddler food, but this one is my favorite. I've made about 10 recipes from the book and each one is easy to make, healthy and delicious. Most of the recipes are great for the whole family - not just toddlers, and I love that she emphasizes the value of organic food. I'm ordering another copy now to give as a gift.

I am not a big reader, but this book was easy to read. It kept things really simple. I also liked that it separated my job versus my husband's job. I ended up having a c-section so we were unable to put all the knowledge that this book provided to use. As they say, "knowledge is power," and this book provided the peace of mind i needed during my pregnancy.

This book was recommended to me and I enjoyed it reading it. The book is helpful in understanding some of the differences between siblings and more importantly, helping parents accept the differences. Whenever I read a book about children and parenting I always wonder why it isn't a required course in High School. One word of caution, after reading this book I have been constantly guessing the birth order of everyone I meet!

While I liked the book, I thought the author spent too much time defending his theories and trying to sell his other books.

This book has a large amount of information about alternative healing but it doesn't present it in a weird new agey way. It is presented factually in a manner that is easy to read.

I actually live in Houston so I checked out the clinic the author started. I was disappointed to learn she no longer treats people who cannot afford one of her $5000 K workshops. Only her partners still see patients there.

However, for those not in Houston this book is helpful. The only caveat I would give is that she touts that TCM is so much less expensive than conventional infertility treatments. I found this wasn't exactly the case. At $60 per acupuncture treatment and then $30 per week for each herb prescribed (prescribed 4) the costs add up quickly.

I appreciate this book because it's full of ideas that are actually for twos and threes! Most "toddler and preschool" activity books I've found are over a toddler's head, but not this one.

We love all the different ideas.....some are worth hours of play and some just 5 minutes, but the book is full of great ideas!

My 2 yr old has had so much fun with all the activities I've pulled out of this book. It's saved me on rainy days!
