I had working knowledge of some of the principles discussed in this book, but feel like it lacked in depth in a lot of places. It mentions Dr. Deming, but barely scratches the surface of TQM (total quality management). The chapters on human resources and ethics were probably my favorites but I had a great teacher with lots of experience and relatable stories. I agree with others the bank tests are useful only for padding your GPA. I never used the internet access even though I purchased the book new, not sure I missed anything though.

Over the years I have purchased many editions of this classic text and have never been disappointed. Years ago I sat in Dr. Katzung's classes when he was a young man (and I was younger!) This book is invaluable because of its varied content--1. background physiology which is so important when one needs to review and keep up-to-date on new developments, 2. comparisons of chemical structures as new products come onto the market and 3. summary tables showing the different characteristics of the various drugs in any drug group and classification. This is the one clinical pharmacology text I wouldn't be without.

I'm using this as a text in an Intro to American Business course that includes a section on Personal Finance. Go online and take the Orman assessment to uncover the 5 areas you need to concentrate on. There is a 5-month plan that will straighten out your finances, credit cards, FICO score, forms you should have completed (will, treatement wishes) and investments. Practical whether you're 18 or 80.

Orman said women don't understand finances and so they glaze over them. She's right. And we can't afford to be Bag Ladies so listen up both men and women. Our friend Dean read the book while he was visiting us this summer.

For those seeking a general understanding of the major aspects of forecasting, product and service design, strategic capacity planning, quality management, inventory management, scheduling, SCM and so on, this is a great book. I loved the way Stevenson reduced the complex procdedures to easily understable steps. There's no wonder why this has become the most widely used text in Operations Management.

I had a really bad experience dealing with this seller. I ordered my book on May 30, and by the time the estimated delivery date of June 23 had passed, I had tried to contact this seller three times without a response. Before I could file a claim with Amazon, I received an apologetic email from the seller explaining that he was unaware of my purchase and would ship the book immediately the next day. Alhough a refund was offered I foolishly accepted the order because I urgently needed the book. An additional week went by without a shipping confirmation and when I tried to get in touch with the seller again, I did not receive a response. I found this book to be easy to read and extremely helpful. After one read-through, I ripped out the pages I wanted to refer to on a regular basis: deep-breathing techniques, peaceful scene visualizations, lists of positive affirmations, among others. I read through these each morning and night. This book, coupled with daily exercise, meditation, good nutrition, and "me" time, has made a vast difference in my life.
