Ward March 07, 2006 Rhage has always been the sexiest of the brothers for me, and Ward has written a very good second book, further developing her back story and cleverly laying the groundwork for future books (John/Darius, Zsadist, etc.). However, I was just a bit disappointed at the ending. *** SPOILER BELOW -- DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW! *** Since I think Rhage is simply sex on legs, my pleasure at finishing the book was dimmed by learning that he would never be producing any baby vampires due to Mary's illness. .A Walk to Remember City Travel Guides > Books > Romance by: Nicholas Sparks September 01, 2004 This is one of the only times I would say a movie is better than the book. But if you haven't seen the movie yet this is a great book. I like to read the book after seeing the moving to read what the characters were thinking etc. I enjoyed the differences of the book from the movie but I liked the ending in the movie better. .No Rest for the Wicked (The Immortals After Dark, Book 2) City Travel Guides > Books > Romance by: Kresley Cole October 31, 2006 I found the book to be OK, not outstanding. Too much of the contest for me. My main reason for reading paranormal romances is the couple involved. I wanted more between them. I found myself skipping over some of the contest travels to get to the romance interaction. I've started Book 3 and it seems I'm liking that one better already. It may just be because I'm deeper into the world Ms.Cole has created. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I enjoy Christine Feehan (my favorite) and the first books by J.R. Ward's Dark Series. In "Moon Called", Mercy is called upon to repay her debt to Stefan, her vampire friend who helped in the first book. When dealing with vampires and other supernatural creatures, repaying debts is important. Honor matters. Mercy repays the debt, but ends up getting more than she bargained for, as usual. What is nice about this novel is that mercy really doesn't want to be a hero. She tries to stay out of the main fights/investigations, but unfortunately, due to her specific talents and the nature of the evil they are facing, she has to throw herself into the fray once more.
