.Dragonfly in Amber City Travel Guides > Books > Romance by: Diana Gabaldon August 07, 2001 "Dragonfly in Amber" is good second chapter of the "Outlander" series. If you enjoyed "Outlander" you are sure to enjoy the continuation of Jamie and Claire's story. All of the characters from the first novel are back, with more romance and political intrigue than ever. At nearly a thousand pages, this book is longer than "Outlander", but generally the pacing is good and the action comes fast, so you keep reading. I did feel like the third quarter of the book dragged a little bit, but all in all I really enjoyed the read. I would not recommend that a reader new to the "Outlander" series start with this book, since there is very little flashback to the first book, and you really need the background of the first ... .Power Play (Berkley Sensation) City Travel Guides > Books > Romance by: Deirdre Martin October 07, 2008 I have read everything that this author writes and I think this one is in the top 3 of her books! Eric Mitchell (twin of Jason 'Chasing Stanley' book) lands a walk-on role on a leading Soap. He makes the moves on the lead actress Monica Geary. They both share the same PR person (Theresa Falconetti from Fair Play) throw the 2 of them together and make some PR news. I like how the characters evolved and were not perfect. I have made North Dakota home, so the references to Eric & Jason home in ND was great. Enjoy another amazing book by Deirdre Martin! A hunger Like No Other is still my favorite but this one was was better than the previous No Rest For The Wicked. I usually stay away from books where the main hero is brooding over his killed lover,I like the whole ur the only one for me kind of thing, but I decided to take a chance because come on, its kresley cole we are talking about here, the girl is talented! I am really glad I did, I can't believe how well she tied up the whole two mates question at the end, i had no idea it would turn out like that and it totally made up for the stupid things that he did to Mari.
