What was Nicholas Sparks thinking when he wrote this book?

*Let me tap into the minds of lonely heartbroken women all over the world.

*Let me add a new age man who reads poetry and pours out his feelings in letters.

*Let me re-create the classic lovestory with a dose of Bridges of Madison county (which should have been shorter, as in should never have been written in the first place)

I loved the movie and was dying to read the book. It is AWFUL. Sugary sweet with no real story or depth.

How can any one read this shallow garbage and cry?

I loved this book and passed it on to a friend. It was hot, Hot HOT! but with a plot, which surprised me. I liked Anna; and I like Kael, Gareth, Cameron, Dev, and Chance. I would recommend this book to a friend. It met all my expectations, and then some. I look forward to other writings by Zant.

This book is as amazing as the frist three series. It just gets better and the character build-up is just wonderful. However, I hope that for the next series there's more character development of the Dragon caste system and Severen. I mean we get hints of Severen's life but no more and I'm really wanting to know more. Thanks for this wonderful series!!!

I love this book! I think this is probably James Patterson's best book to date. I love the way he draws you in to the characters and makes you feel like a part of his book. Also the way he takes an abstract subject and makes you believe. What a fantastic author!

I'm a big fan of the Bastion Club series. This is a great story in that the heroine is very strong. Even with all the alpha males in these stories, she is able to keep them in line. I was also excited to get part of the mystery of Dalzeil solved. Now we await the final book and find out his story.

If you love Stephanie Laurens' books, the Edge of Desire is a winner.

Noah has been my favorite character since book 1. I felt that the carrot of his story was dangled in front of our noses through all 4 of the previous books. After all that buildup, the story was a letdown. Then halfway through, she meandered off into introducing Shadowdwellers. Apparently that will be her next series. UNFAIR!! Still, I do adore Noah, so while I hoped to be able to give it a 5 star rating, I can't go beyond 4.

I bought this group of short stories only for the incomparable Mary Balogh, and I was not disappointed. Her story is absolutely marvelous as I knew it would be and, by far, the best of the bunch. I actually saved it for last because in other anthologies, I've read her story first and was bored to tears with the rest. This time, I read the other stories first. Stephanie Laurens and Jacquie D'Alessandro's bits were pretty average. They both start off fine but then whimper to the end filling pages and pages with sex scenes.....boring and unimaginative. That's the sign of an author who is on auto-pilot and not creative enough to plan a well-thought out story. Candice Hern, on the other hand, is a very good writer.
