An avid reader of Chuck Palahniuk's work, I read Snuff very nearly as soon as it came out and am pleased, but certainly not overwhelmed. I feel his best works are Survivor and Choke, and that Snuff fails to even live up to the greatness of his more recent work like Lullaby.

It's good and has some writing remiscient of his Guts chapter that was made so famous by its inclusion in Playboy and for his readings having people fainting and it's filled with the same interesting side stories and anecdotes, but it fails to execute itself as well as his previous work.

Catherine Coulter's FBI series never disappoints me. Once again she has hit the heart of her writing talents with suspense, twists and a touch of romance. What I really like most is that she focuses on her characters and develops them well, so that when you are finished reading this book you are left with wanting more about them and eagerly waiting her next book. Savich and Sherlock are a dynamic pair and ones that you are always rooting for to crack the case. When reading Tailspin I couldn't put it down plus it grabbed me on the very first page. Keep writing this series Catherine and I am anxiously awaiting your next one.

I read the whole serie and this book is too short for a first book in a series of 6 books. The story is good but this is not the best of them all.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. This was the book that got be hooked on historical fiction, and although the cover (imo) does the book an injustice (making the novel look old and boring), this is a wonderful read. Katherine Swynford and John of Gaunt are flesh-and-blood characters, leaping off the page to bring you along in a 14th century adventure.

If you have any interest in the 1300s, Chaucer, English history, or even just romance stories, I think you'll like this.

Blood Brothers is not a 'usual' Nora Roberts plot - it's a little 'off the wall'.....I bought this one because I had the 'second' and wanted to read the 'first' first! Not too excited about getting the third.

Whoaaa. So much worse than the first one, what happened? The only story I actually enjoyed was, surprise, Dawn's, of all peoples, and even there we got basically nothing. I said for the first one that it was just "how much skin can they show", but WHOA, did they push it further this time, to the point of disturbingness. I'm sorry, I'm not reading these for that, or for the action, I'm looking so very hard for plot and I can't find any. This is so unreal. Faith is with Giles all of a sudden, and Buffy is not. Willow is horribly un-Willow, Buffy barely has a role, Xander and Dawn are the only ones with a good story but it's not being told. There's nothing interesting happening. I kind of hate this. I want my old Buffy back!

I tried to like this book. I didn't enjoy Sweet Talk because of Nicole and hoped that I would like her more in this book dedicated to her, but I didn't.

She still comes across as nasty and judgmental. However, I did like the relationship she had with Raoul was sweet, I never understood why Hawk was with her.

I was also put off by Hawk's relationship with Brittany that the author decided to deal with in the last five chapters or so of the book. For two hundred and some odd pages, Brittany never seemed to have a problem with Nicole or behaved in a way that was spoiled or selfish and then, suddenly, she starts yelling at Nicole and acting like a princess. It didn't fit.

I have just discovered a new world, and I like it! I normally don't read books like this and I am sorry I didn't delve into this world sooner! I had read the Twilight series (it was a gift, I wouldn't have even bothered if it was me picking out reading material) and I liked it, but it was written for young adult so there was a lot of teenage angst in it. I was looking at recommendations and I ran across Mercy and I am not sorry I took the suggestions! I have read all 3 and am getting ready to pre order the 4th! They are not long reads, perfect for a lazy summer day by the pool!
