This is an excellent reference for long distance riding. Following the information in this book a beginning rider can ride a century, the cyclists' marathon, with no difficulties and few surprises. A good way to start getting involved with long distance riding. Not good for those who want to do time trials or other fast racing.

I used this book as a companion book to another text for learning to sail on the Hudson, and I found it to be a thorough and informative text, with all basic information on rules of the road, parts of a boat, parts of a sail, rigging, water safety and rules of the road.

As a beginning sailor, learning on a responsive boat with a sail and a jib, I would recommend this book to anyone learning to sail smaller craft and slower craft. By my second lesson, this book and the companion I used allowed me to gain the comfort necessary to prepare for my basic keelboat certification.

I don't give myself much time to sit and read books, even though I am currently reading three books and haven't finished any of them. When I received this one, I honestly couldn't put it down. Golf's Sacred Journey is so much more than a book of golf. It is a motivational book on life. I have taken some of the lessons that are mentioned in the book to my own personal life and has helped me deal with tough situations. It has also helped my game during the times that I used to get frusturated after a few bad shots, to get back up top and control my game (not someone else's).

I bought the book as supporting material for a masters degree course I teach called "Quality management in the Business of Sports". The phrase Quality Management was clearly defined in the key-word list the authors presented. My dissapointment came when I saw that the book is mostly a general primer covering many aspects of the business of sports, but none in depth and specially nothing specific about quality management.

I don't find this DVD to be idiot friendly and I feel I must have bought the wrong DVD/Book. I thought it would be easy to follow and it isn't. The title is very misleading and I don't know if others have had the same problem with this book/DVD.

This book was a gift from someone several years ago when I first expressed an interest in learning to bake bread ... At first, I thought it was complicated and somewhat intimidating but I was determined and shelved the book while I started with some lesser complicated bread recipes. After a few months, and feeling rather confident in my abilities, I took a stab at one of the recipes ... It took longer than any other recipe I'd ever made, I spent more effort in following the directions and really FELT as though I were making something worthwhile. And, in the end, I did!
That being said ... this book is absolutely not for beginners ... it was far too intimidating to someone who'd only been baking bread for a few weeks ... but once I got my fingers doughy in lesser complicated ... Read More:
