My son bought this book for a College Course at Purdue Calumet. The day it came I started reading it, It was a very good read,very heartbreaking that a child lived this way. It took me one night to complete, I had such a hard time trying to put it down. My son had a hard time getting into the whole story, until I told him to look at this girl as if she were a relative or friend. That's when it captured his 18 year old heart. It makes you think about what a Cruel world we live in. This book will break your heart, especially if your a mother.

I read this book in college for a children's lit class. I was not impressed. It is a melodramatic look at the evils of drugs. It reads like a bad after school special, created to frighten teenagers and warn them never to experiment with drugs of any kind. Also, despite the lore following this novel, it was not written by a teenager. Read the novel if must, but there are definitely better books out there about drug usage.

For those familiar with the video game from Capcom, you will recognize many of the stories in this 20 segment anthology. For those first timers, you will encounter the full cast of Phoenix Wright. Phoenix Wright, Maya, MIles Edweworth, Detective Gumshoe, Franziska Von Karma and a cast of miscreants and malligned inhabit this world of lawyer turned inside out and outside in.

If any of the TV lawyers had their origins in Japanese culture and the supporting cast of Supernatural Law, you would then have Phoenix Wright. As manga, it is a breath of fresh air into a format dominated by magic/feminine oriented storylines.

The art is pretty darn good too!

As pleased as I was displeased, the new era for a fact has been less provacative and stunning as to now. The month's anticipation was downed by the over-used plot and the downgraded promiscuous actions that I used to love about Gossip Girl. Although it does show depth and drama, the characters feel like a tangled mess or shallow-based characters with no relevance to the city itself. As it seems that the plot has been repeated, so has the interaction with the characters! I am overwhelmed with the nonexistant drama, scandal, and sex appeal. Maybe my opinion has been affected by the hit show itself, but I remember more steamy and discriptive one-night stands wiht jealous pledges following. I thought this book was a very good book, It included a good deal of exciting science. It was very well written also the text flowed and was very easy to read. Most of all it was intellectually stimulating as it discussed many complex societal issues and ethical issues with out destroying the story. All in all it is a great work of fiction that is entertaining as well as sofisticated.
