Perfect for Jr. High...
Claire is the fifth in the The Clique Summer Collection. I have not read the previous books in this collection, but I think it would be better to read them all in order. Claire has returned to Orlando and is glad to reunite with her Florida friends. They think she has changed, and they are not all sure they like the new Claire. As Claire is trying to convince her Florida friends that she is the same old Claire, Massie shows up. She doesn't really fit in with everyone else.

Chibi Endless!!

I love how the first two appeared, and the bit in the gallery is perfect!

And yes, the rest is up to standard- ie Gaiman's amazing standard!

Beautiful art, but the story lines! just wow. The characters have a reality to them. Delirium, in particular, reminds me of someone I know. The stories unfold so naturally.

I look forward to vol 4.

An excellent book even though it's a kids book. If you liked Harry Potter, you'll love this one too. I bought it on a whim, the cover caught my eye and have already purchased the second in this series and can't wait to read it.

This was a good book in the way that it was well written. She writes with ease that makes your eyes fly over the words of the page at a good rate, and it doesn't clutter itself up with pretentious words. I liked the main character Callie, but her reasons for cutting do not seem justified. I also would have liked to see a little bit more information about the other girls in the hospital with her. It seemed like one could go on so many different ways with them. For a first novel, not bad. For me spending my money on it, I'm not impressed.

There are not many novels that can be done as a novel study for a squirmy, ADD class of preteens. Not many books will hold their attention from page 1 to the end. Very few novels will have a class on the edge of their seats, and even fewer will be able to offer students from all socioeconomic levels some character with which they can identify.

Freak the Mighty is one of those very few.

This novel was introduced to me by a mentor teacher on my campus. This dear lady is an unsung hero and a second mother to me. Even though I adore her, I was skeptical as to whether or not this book was really as good for the kids as she claimed. I didn't give her enough credit.
